Same. I got shot through the ankle back in 2004. I was standing when I got hit. At first I was more concerned that I coldn't hear out of my right ear. Then I lifted my leg up and tried to put weight back down on it and it crunched.

I always tell people: Getting shot didn't hurt. Realizing I got shot hurt like a motherfucker.

That's the impression that I get.

You weren't kidding. I looked up what The Canterbury Tales would have sounded like in its original pronunciation and the first thing that came to mind is that it kind of sounds like its being read by the Swedish Chef from The Muppets. It's wild that it sounds so foreign but makes sense when you read it.
