  1. Is that just a poor res export of the CT images or did you actually get the low dose scan? Btw I freakin hate reading low dose scans in peds; don't care about the non-inferior results in the radiology literature, when the scan is indeterminate it's worthless

  2. Were you looking for anything specific with the PO con?

  3. Holy shit you had a fascial dehiscence.

  4. Why didn't they use lovenox for you when you were postop discharged..you had malignancy and an indwelling catheter; it's got better survivability in malignancy related all-cause mortality.

  5. Knowing what you know now ex post the real postop complications not just the bullshit listed when the intern/fellow consented you during preop, would you still have decided to go for surgery?

Ah that's right forgot about the renal failure. Thanks for your response and keep fighting the good fight.

Sounds like you weren't fluid resuscitated enough postop leading into the AKI, but that's just calling it from the sideline in hindsight...12h+ case you were probably edematous like the Michelin man and the overnight ICU resident probably didn't wanna blow your fresh anastomoses or flood your lungs. You know the sucky part? Your story is literally run of the mill for most major surgonc whacks and HIPECs I've seen...all those complications so common and familiar I could swear you were one of the patients I took care of. That being said, it speaks volumes for your character. We always say, "man that guy is so nice, sucks everything that could go wrong is going wrong for him" and the converse, "man that guy's an asshole, he's gonna live forever." Here's to hoping for smooth sailing ahead, stay well hydrated and avoid nephrotoxins! Drive safely so no trauma surgeon would have any reason to ever ex lap you. And pray for the next surgeon who has to enter your belly..it would be like Nagasaki, Hiroshima, and Pompeii had a rager in your belly and everyone was invited.

Your grace, how is the septic pump doing? PS: are you one of the 2 Elon Musk is launching to space next year? Love all your work/shenanigans.

Let me be real with you. SSI are now considered "never events" in terms of state/federal medical billing. No half wit surgeon would now ever diagnose a wound infection as a SSI; it's like shooting yourself in the foot. Good luck accruing data.
