I am not a doctor, but have read a bit about Ebola, and my understanding is that it's not contagious during the incubation period. Aha, I looked it up and sure enough: "The incubation period, or the time interval from infection to onset of symptoms, is from 2 to 21 days. The patients become contagious once they begin to show symptoms. They are not contagious during the incubation period." http://www.who.int/csr/disease/ebola/faq-ebola/en/
Edited to change "infectious" to "contagious".

The position of the tail is probably a lot of what you're responding to. That upward tail position is one key marker of domestication.

My little brother got pneumonia/bronchitis one winter while he was without insurance, so he got minimal treatment and basically ended up coughing his lungs out all winter long. He has always been super skinny, and at the end of that winter, he had ridiculous abs... I don't think it was much fun, though.
