May be off topic but...

What do you think about the fast food workers on strike? Wouldn't it be best, for the rest of us taxpayers, if those people were paid more? If the companies’ paid more it would make their employees less dependent on government assistance. Sure the "job creators" are less profitable but what were they going to do with that money? Create more crappy jobs? Mcdonald’s could double the wages of all their employees and still have profits. I don’t think the government should step in rather the two parties negotiate, I was just wondering your opinion.

I feel the same way I voted for him back in november but I would consider myself more of a libertarian/democrat now. The problem with a lot of libertarian views are that they put trust in the rich to do the right thing and I don't think we're ready for that yet if ever.

There's definitely things like that that wouldn't benefit from a free market approach. private prisons, healthcare, scientific research, etc. Privatising these things won't work because in order for these business' to make profits, we'd have more criminals, more sick, and more ignorant. It's like planned obsolescence they might find a cure all but they won't be able to make stable profits if they release it.

true but you would be looked as a pretty shitty business for screwing people out of money. unless of course fox news convinced you that workers should be treated like dirt.

That was my train of thought, thanks for the response!
