Is your father still just as humorous when not being filmed and "in character"? I understand the writing has a lot to do with it, but his consistent deadpan delivery just steals the show nine times out of ten when he's included in an episode.

Thank you for your time and keep up the great work at Gearbox and on HAWP!

Hey Gooseman, not a question but more of a thanks. Without Counter-Strike, there never would have been a CS-Nation. Without CS-Nation, I never would have gotten a start there posting news about the game many years ago.

And without that, I never would have become the Community Manager for the site and subsequently the CM for the network that acquired CSN a few years back.

So, thank you (and Cliffe) for creating a game that helped me to discover a new enjoyable hobby (writing for a community).

Haha, well I've gotten a few news pieces up for TI already. I still plan on doing a video preview/review at some point once I find the time.

Thanks and take care!

I'll be happy to bring them back if you guys are willing to pay me the recurring subscription fees again!

Though in all honesty, the Nationalist Only forums were merged with the regular OT section. Most of the threads are still around, though many of the images/links/videos are long since dead thanks to the general nature of the Internet.

There's a lot I miss about the old CSN, truth be told. Every single one of the articles and features that we had is gone as far as I know thanks to database mergers, site mergers, site redesigns, data wipes, hackers, etc.. I can use things like Wayback Machine to find some things here and there but it obviously doesn't always work. It's kind of sad to think that things like the animations or calendars or skins or articles and interviews with some great figures in the history of Counter-Strike are all just... gone. Perhaps there's a backup of the old site sitting somewhere on a server that I'm unaware of. I'd like to think that this is the case.

EDIT: And it's even more sad that in the very near future, CSN may not exist at all anymore.

Rizzuh, for a long while, was still in charge at CSN. He, however, took a much more reduced role many years ago and left the day to day operations to me. He became more of a behind the scenes kind of site owner and would be there to fix things when the site broke (happened more often than you'd think).

Eventually, he parted ways for good from CSN once the site was sold to another company. He and I still keep in touch every so often.

As for him being fat, no no. Far from it, in fact! Unless, of course, he ballooned up since I saw him in Bellevue prior to Portal shipping out.
