Presumably to ensure that nobody accidentally does themselves permanent severe hearing damage by turning up personal volume above a safe level. It's easy to do this by accident - turning up your music to drown out the noise of public transport, or crying children, or noisy roadworks, etc. When everything is competing to be louder than everything else, you don't realise just how loud it's having to be and how much damage it's doing.

Do you think that the exclusion zone should be larger than the 30km it is, given how unevenly the radiation fell?
Have you ever been back to meet with some of the people still handling Chernobyl and Pripyat these days, or to the Chernobyl Museum in Kyiv?
What was your reaction and the public reaction when you finally found out what really happened? Your comments about the Veterans Parade made me wonder about all the parents and local workers.

What sort of advice would you give to bystanders to make them more useful/ less of a problem?
(eg, it would be appreciated if you could put the kettle on for a cup of tea, or try to learn the recovery position, or for the love of god don't touch anything until the response team gets there, etc)

Are you aware of any legitimate online retailers for Navajo and other Native crafts? I'm in Europe, not the US, so I'm not well placed to be able to visit and buy directly from a reservation, but I'd still like to buy crafts and support traditional craftwork.
