Bipolar is a chemical imbalance, seizures can be the same. A lot of meds that are used to treat bipolar are even used at different* dosages to treat epilepsy, which is a grand old time for people like me and you who have both mood disorders (bipolar 2 in my case) and epilepsy.

Replying here to follow the rules regarding top level comments- I am currently on day 14 of my hospital stay with depth electrodes (basically needles, 14 of them) screwed into my brain trying to find where my seizures start. If anyone has any questions i would be more than happy to answer them.

Epilepsy fucking blows.

For a grand mal help them to the ground, move anything near them that they could hurt themselves with away from them, check their wallet for an emergency med, call 911.
