Websites and Applications both have their ups and downs :) You might look into .Net Web Application development. I scored a position at an advertising agency where I get to do both applications and web work! Also, don't say you're not smart enough! It literally comes down to it being basically a new language to speak, you're just putting sentences together for the computer to understand! Best of luck!!!
