The laws and stipulations around disclosure of ads apply no matter the platform and regardless of a platforms policies or how much you "think people get it". Rule # 7 on reddit itself would be in violation if you are not disclosing ads.
Also if you want to go to the sub rules on the right and scroll to #8 to read the FAQ it bluntly and clearly states there under restrictions "IAmA is not your advertising platform" ads are removed when brought to the attention of moderators on a case by case basis.
