This right here. This needs to be covered. I was stationed there for some time back in 2010-2011. The laborers there (predominately from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines) work and live in some utterly terrible conditions for just above slavery wages.

Sad to hear that not much has changed. Especially since some of them are victims of human trafficking even though the company that trafficked them is being paid by US Government contract. Were you on as Sayliyah or The Deed?

Yup. Human trafficking is rampant in the Middle East. The governments of those countries don't want to crack down on it because it provides them with basically free labor and many of the citizens of those countries literally see the workers as less than human so there's no one with a real voice to advocate for the workers.

It's not just taxi drivers either. It's pretty much any service industry job. Construction too. I can't speak to the mindsets of other countries but the general mindset of the Qatari citizenry is that those jobs are "beneath them" and that the workers from other countries are more suited for those jobs.

Maybe WWP would be more well liked if they spent more time helping vets and less time suing every Tom, Dick, and Harry charity for things as trivial as also using a silhouette in their logo.

Hopefully you are correct and their new leadership gets the organization's head out of its collective ass.

Unfortunately, some people are unable to be helped. She sounds like one of those people.

Major respect to you for putting forth the effort. Many people wouldn't try as hard as you did.
