I don't have one mother language. I have two, I grew up speaking both English and German and it switches between the two a lot. Certain phrases can convey my emotions better in German than English and vice versa. But if I'm just grocery shopping or something? Probably English because I'm reading the packages in America in English and talking to the clerks in English. Mostly German in my head though. It sounds better.
