How is it playing an instrument without hearing it? Is it even still fun? Do you imagine the sounds in your head?

Hey, when you are featured in a song, do you get paid or do you just do it for the publicity? If you do get paid, what's your cut? Do you only get money from the songs you sell or also the ad revenue from the Youtube videos? As an example lets say thefatrat.
