With all due respect, where in your religion are founding principles of gender equality found?

Admittedly, I am no Quran expert. Though I have read it.

Here are a few passages that completely denounce what you've said regarding gender (IN)equality:

The Prophet said, 'I looked at Paradise and found poor people forming the majority of its inhabitants; and I looked at Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women.'

Sura 4:11 "The share of the male shall be twice that of a female..."

Sura 4:34 . . . 'If you fear highhandedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great.'

I want you to empower women, I want you to realize women are mistreated in society at large and even more so in Islam. The first step in empowerment is to admit your oppression, denying Islam's inherent gender inequality is to deny truth.
