UCLA has constantly been accused of practicing affirmative action, despite being prohibited by prop 209. I reference this link by UCSD's chair of admissions, specifically page 6, along with the general sentiment of the college admissions community. I might be biased because I'm an Asian American applying as an undergrad for Fall 2014, but I'd like to see an answer to this.

Slide 6 explicitly states that ethnicity is a factor in your comprehensive review score.

I've been playing piano on and off for about 8 years now, however I stopped taking lessons when I was about 13. However, I feel like I've never gotten mechanically better with my fingers. What is the best way to train playing quickly and precisely?

I'm Asian American (Vietnamese) myself, so the study practiced in this article doesn't really apply to me.

My last piano teacher was Russian, she was the reason I stopped playing piano for 2 years. Hated her.
