You are young and still have time to learn how to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form. You do not have to be a perfect writer to be a physician/dentist/doctor but people have to understand what you write. Freshman biology and chemistry are two of the most important classes (contrary to popular belief) in starting your quest and from your description of biotech, it looks like you need to study harder.
