Hey dudes! I'll start by saying I just love Baroness' music and John's art. Each song on the recent album had it's own unique guitar tone, so my question is, what's your approach towards tone? When you write a riff are you inspired by the effects and guitar tone you're playing with at the moment the riff is written, or do you write a riff and then think of the best possible sound you can get to enhance it's presence?
