What band are junior doctors on? As an electrical engineer for the NHS who's tasks involve keeping a hospital running at all costs and seeing wages drop under a conservative government..I worry alot for the future of our beloved NHS. I personally think Cameron is running it into the ground (so to speak) so that more ppl will agree to privatise in the future. See you on the picket line!!!

That saddens me to know that I'm earning more than a doctor who is potentially saving lives and certainly making ppl well again and enriching the quality of life for their patients. Agenda for change by the way is being chipped away at an alarming rate...just ask Unison. Not worth the paper it's written on sadly, recently.

Doesn't work like that bud. It's a banding structure within the NHS. I'm at the top of band 6 which has 5 "spines" so yearly my wage increases about 1k a year until you're at the top of your banding. You cant go to another banding unless you prove your job is worthy of it (like you progress to management)

edit..sorry for grammar.
