Lupus (SLE) is a debilitating condition that affects many parts of the body. Kidneys included as OP shared. No cure. In some ways you could say the body attacks itself. It can be mild to life threatening depending on varied factors. Recently lost an awesome friend to the disease as well as him not treating himself well.
