During the interviews did he ever give any hint that he regrets any aspect of a particular film, that he wished he'd developed something further or tackled it in another way?

Not OP, but the fact that Prestige was knocked out between the first Batman films blows my mind. Its actual production schedule was very short - which you'd never guess from how complex and meticulously crafted it is. Also, how creatively (and for the better) the script varies from Priestley's source novel. Its the kind of thing that might have taken Kubrick five years to make.

Each time I see Inception I ponder on new perspectives. Like whether Adriane is really incepting Cobb's mind the whole time via a therapy session, whether the whole film is really incepting a message into the audiences mind (in that climactic moment) about the need to live in reality rather than one's imagination, and the importance of letting go of guilt. "Home" takes on new meanings too. Its like one of those pictures that shows a different image depending on which angle you view it from.

Thanks so much for your reply, and for the interesting AMA. I think confidence in decision-making is probably a great strength at the core of his output, something I'd struggle with and be neurotic as hell about pondering all the 'what ifs' (particularly with something like Inception or Tenet).

Hi Rowan, how do you feel about British TV comedy now compared to where it was? What do you miss most about it?
