Tramadol is not less addictive and the withdrawals are much worse than other opiates because of the way it works on your brain. It has SSRI (antidepressant) properties. When you go through Tramadol withdrawal it's not just going through opiate withdrawal, it's also antidepressant withdrawal. People are quick to write it up as "better", but I can assure you it's not. The spread of misinformation is a huge problem.

Just looking at that makes my back hurt, but I'm also hungry for ribs now.
Do you still have pain? Will it ever progress? One of my cousins has had scoliosis and she had corrective surgery but her pain level is getting worse, she's only in her early 20s and she's on all kinds of pain meds.
Edit- of course my most upvoted comment is about an open spinal surgery giving me a hankering for ribs. of course it is.
