Maybe we are looking at different answers? I see he said that some antifa consider property damage to banks and corporations to be 'completely defensible'. Not that HE finds it defensible to 'use localized violence'. He may believe this - as all people feel one way or another - but as a journalist he has to check his views at the door before reporting and he seems to have done that in the answer you're quoting.

That is an observation of a journalist based on the research and fieldwork he conducted, so what is the problem, exactly, except that it conflicts with your preconceived notions?

Thank you for this AMA. After spending time with antifa activists, how much do you lean towards the view held by some that both they and the (alt)right are "violent extremes" and practically the same?
