Hey Michael. Skipper Taryn checking in. It was actually in Show Scene 2 when the shark fin first appears, not scene 5. Besides that, I corroborate your tale of me bashing myself in the face with a lifeless piece of metal. Still have the shirt, 7 years later! http://m.imgur.com/EJoo5QD

Edit: oh wow, thanks for the gold! I should make myself bleed with self-inflicted blunt force trauma more often! :D

Edit 2: I just got home from work. It took me 20 minutes to find it, but I dug the shirt out of storage. I ripped it up a few years back for a Halloween costume (if you're a fan of the ride, I'm sure you'll appreciate the fact that I went as Gordon.) Before you can even ask...yes, that's my blood, yes, it's been festering on a shirt for 7 years, no, I've never washed it, and yes, I absolutely understand how disgusting that is :) http://imgur.com/7AYVbwa

Oh wow, that's so cool. I'm actually trying to lose about that much weight myself (just got back on the wagon today, actually) and when I saw your AMA, my first thought was how bad ass spices could potentially be a great tool for weightloss! I put in for the free samples, but considering you've probably gotten hundreds of requests by now, I'm not really expecting anything haha. Looking back at your own weight loss journey, can you point me towards a couple of your spice blends that you wish you had around when you were losing? Thanks!

I really want to be a computer animator, and am currently saving up to attend a school to learn the skill.

The thing is (this is kind if embarrassing) I still don't really understand how animation works. I've tried really hard to research it, but I can't find anything that goes into substantial detail. Do you have any books/documentaries to recommend that really break down the process of creating an animated film?

Also, I've heard that most big animation houses don't keep an animation staff, but rather hire freelance for computer animators. Is this true for Dreamworks?

Any general advice or tips you have for someone who wants to break into the animation field?

I really appreciate you reading this and possibly giving me some insight. I've had a hard time getting candid information about the field from people who aren't affiliated with the school I hope to attend.

Brazilians, or more specifically Brazillian Tour Groups, are more of a Florida thing. As a former Walt Disney World Employee- they are the stuff of nightmares.

They travel in huge packs of 50-100 people, trailing along after their tour guide holding a flag to keep them together. Because they travel in groups, they have a bit of a pack mentality and give ZERO regards for other guests or Cast Members. They are incredibly loud and like to sing chanty songs in Portuguese at the top of their lungs. They completely destroy queue lines when they enter an attraction, and are notorious for skipping in line whenever possible. Universal specific (I used to work there too) but they REFUSE to leave the free lockers to store their things and will instead leave the 50-100 giant backpacks sitting in huge piles blocking exits, entryways, paths, etc with just one member of their party guarding he mountain to make sure no one steals their things. When they are actually on a ride, they have no respect for their fellow guests and will chant and scream and yell at the top of their lungs for the entire ride. I was both a Skipper at both the Jungle Cruise and Jaws rides respectively, and gave maaaaany boat tours to boats full of Brazillians screaming and chanting over my spieling. If it was just a boat full of Brazillians it wasn't that big of a deal, I just didn't bother spieling. The worst was when 90% of the boat were Brazillians, with one lone American family sitting in the last row. I would try my best to give a good show for them and them alone, but it's hard to do a good job when you can't hear your amplified voice over the chanting.

So yeah. Brazillian Tour Groups are the worst.

I was a VIP Tour guide at Universal as well, and I have the opportunity to take out several Brazillian families. When they weren't in the groups, they could be warm, lovely, polite people. So I have no problem with guests from Brazil. Just tour groups from Brazil.
