I'm 30 and I have no idea what integral a and the other stuff in this post are :/

Failed GCSE maths 4 times before giving up...still 6 6 a levels, a degree and never been out of work. Maths really really confused the hell out of me at school and more so now :/ thank fuck for phones and calculators

OMG Rip inbox! Thank you all for explaining, I will try and reply to you all. Most of it has gone over my head, and the bits I can understand leave me with the question 'why do you need to know that?' I think one of the big issues with school (certainly my experience of it anyway) is that they failed to make things relevant or useful it was just 'hey learn this shit to get a C grade'

My German relatives also hated the cunt nazi party but if you said this aloud, you'd have the SS at your door to kill you. There's a whole swathe of untold stories from 'regular' (including non aryan) Germans who were allowed to remain and live but were practically enslaved by the SS through fear tactics. My family were some of them who stayed in Bavaria with little real contact with the outside world (all mail was intercepted) having to try and keep their heads down until the war ended. I can't imagine how awful it must have been to be so against the nazis but also to know the only way you can survive is to play along when questioned, no doubt seeing/hearing some awful shit along the way. Is fucked up what happened to everyone during those years, except nazi pig cunts who deserve to die for what they did.

Is a common question - I'm part German, and the general consensus is people voted in shitler for his economic policies to lift Germany out of extreme recession, ignoring the smaller aspects of some of his other policies. He them started going crazy and people went off him but it was too late; with a gun held to your head, you'd pledge allegiance and seig heil to try and save yourself, except not many would have known just how barbaric the nazis were and what they expected of people they forced into war. My grandma was born in Bavaria (south Germany) during ww2 and as 'good' Germans they were allowed to stay, but her parents were made to pay some crazy amounts just to have her born under the 3rd reich even though they thought the reich was scum. If you resisted they'd shoot you. All my family documents from that time are covered in swastika etc not because they were nazis, but because they stole your documents and reissued them so you can pass through checkpoints and SS can be sure you are allowed to stay and are a 'supporter'

No doubt some were in full support, but an awful lot of Germans were against and we'll never know how many, most are simply dead now and many will still not talk about it for fear of shame.

Fuck nazis

Ffs, I worked every day and night with being on call, not being able to go home if the next worker called in sick until it was covered (usually me covering) and I earned £12,000 this year :/

Note to anyone that actually wants to earn money proportionate to what you do; don't look after other human beings.

Most people hate sedentary jobs but after 5 years of manic 18 hour days I want to sit in a truck and do fuck all. For 90k a year.

Give me a job!! I'm used to having no personal life/days off!!

Went to auschwitz last year - so glad I did! It's harrowing and bleak but I think everyone should know. They have displays on all the different narratives at play during the war - I learned a whole load and that comes from a half German who is pretty well read on ww2.
