I had a shitty day, but seeing that there are people worrying about making the best eye patch made me really happy. I mean, it's such a small business, and making one that lasts seems like a dumb move from an economical point of view, but this guy seems like he wants to help the few other people in the world who have to wear eye patches. I am happy for you that you have one, happy for /u/dch314 that he found a new supplier and happy for the guy who manufactures them.

I only know the Chuckle Brothers because of RUFC. I'm from Germany and some years ago, RUFC was literally the most shit club in England on Fifa, so naturally, I always chose them when I started a manager career. I started loosely following them and got really excited when they went up to League One, but for some reason, I totally missed that they reached the Championship. I really hope they can manage to stay there. The Chuckle Brothers are the only people listed as popular supporters of RUFC in the German Wikipedia entry, that's how I know them.

Hijacking this: I'm from Germany too. If you want to help, take your biggest hobby and see how you can open it for refugees. I play football, and we have been able to get "Spielberechtigungen" for refugees, which means that some refugees are allowed to officially play in league matches for our team. We also organize events like tourneys for refugee teams. I am from northern Germany and I way told that refugees don't have to deal with attacks quite as often here, so the biggest problem would be the boredom. Get them out of their "homes" and give them a way to pass some time.

Also, if you are good in German and English: volunteer to give German lessons. Sure, media says they don't want to learn, but they do.

How big has a city to be for a board game cafe to make sense?

My mother works in the same field as OP, also in Germany. She says that most of the time, they aren't minors, but no one can prove it. If you are a minor and unaccompanied, you will be put into living homes. If you are 18 and over, you will be put into a cell at least for one night. You see why most of them want to be identified as underage. She says that they often leave the living homes in six hours or less and try to make it to Scandinavia.
