Sorry I’m late, but I have a couple questions. Does Mobi use 2FA? Once you have eSim setup, would it be possible to have two lines on an iPhone that both use eSim? Or would two lines on one phone require a physical sim and eSim combo?

Thanks! I care about 2FA, but it isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker for trying Mobi. I’m glad to hear you’re getting it in place, though.

I’ve been fortunate to be able to work remotely since March and will be for at least the rest of the year. I’ve been toying with the idea of adding a second line - I was actually thinking about a physical sim in an older phone - for the odd occasion I need to make a work call from my personal cell phone while working remotely.

Here’s why. I have voicemail to email setup for my work phone (VoIP phone in my office) and regardless of whether I use *67 or disable caller ID in my Ting dashboard, my phone number shows up when I call my work number. That makes me a little nervous about what other people might have and if my personal cell phone number would actually be blocked. A second line on my iPhone (SE 2020) would be more convenient.

I’m not necessarily looking to bail on Ting (I had just ported back a few weeks before the Dish announcement), but my bill will be $23+taxes and fees (second buckets on talk and texts and somewhere around 80MB of data), so Mobi would cut that in half! That honestly seems a little too good to be true.

Verizon has the best coverage in my area (New England) and the only provider that has coverage at my office (for whenever I end up back there). AT&T has decent coverage, Sprint had great coverage in populated areas, but it dropped off quickly (my employer is just outside of town and the Sprint signal would die at the edge of the parking lot) and T-Mobile doesn’t really work here (yet?).

I’d love to try Mobi once you have eSim in place and an opening in your beta program. Depending on who your network partner(s) is(are), I’d seriously consider switching to Mobi at some point because I’d save about $120 a year whether it was just my one line or if I added a second line.
