I feel like this is an issue that doesn't get as much attention as it should on Reddit; the rampant shilling/astroturfing.

I mean, there are entire websites dedicated to selling "matured" Reddit accounts that charge premiums for "natural" usernames and long records of activity on certain subs, as well as selling upvoti get services.

The corporate marketing and PR stuff are innocent enough, I guess, but the political interests using bought social media accounts to manipulate public opinion seems like it should creep more people out than it does.
