It's not as bad as some of the other languages I've tried learning (like Georgian...never again) but it does have its difficulties. The hardest parts for me were remembering when to use perfective vs. imperfective verbs and trying to remember which case endings you used with certain numbers. The cases in general seemed pretty easy to me but there were a few problems with the genetive and instrumental cases in particular. Overall it was one of the easier languages I've studied, even among the Slavic languages. (don't get me started on Bulgarian verbs)

Are you pronouncing the english letter <q> or the voiceless uvular stop /q/? I'd imagine directly after having your uvula removed, pronouncing a uvular stop would be...not so easy. It's the reason you mentioned French speakers having difficulties further up in the thread, since they have the uvular trill /ʀ/.

If you count Turkish as a non-European language, then quite soon. Possibly by the end of the year, definitely before the middle of next year.

If you could give one piece of advice to a young person who wants to make a career in the fashion design industry, what would it be?

(Optional secondary question) How did you make all of the professional connections that you did?

Hi Dr. Gupta,

Since researching medical marijuana and its benefits, have you had a chance to research the supposed therapeutic uses of psychadelics like psylocibin or LSD? I hear there are some promising results from studies that indicate psuchadelics could be very useful in treating alcoholism, depression, and PTSD, among other things. If so, how do you feel about that? Do you think it deserves more study?
