Gotta call you out on this one. This sounds like pseudoscience, and a quick Google search doesn't help its case. Do you have a source for the "it works" part, other than stuff published by your friend?

One fun thing about Reddit is that you can't change titles once the post is submitted. You're stuck with it. Luckily, most redditors know this and give a lot of leeway for typos and (minor) errors in the titles.
