Suits are bee resistant, not bee proof, there’s always kinks in the armor, especially when you start trading protection for comfort

Easiest thing to do is look up your local bee club online (try searching by county or finding a directory on state site and go from there). They will most likely have short courses or maybe mentors willing to teach. Biggest piece of advice is don’t jump into the deep end your first year, go slow and recognize the level of commitment you’re willing to get into before spending a big chunk of change. There is high turnover on new beekeepers because they do t understand all that is entailed with it.

Definitely become resistant to honey bee venom over time, certain spots like inside the nose and under the fingernail will always hurt like hell. I tend to liken it to an 8ft spear with a half inch blade (it feels like there’s a lot of force behind it, but the impact is minimal)
