Did you have any sort of warning, any inkling that this was going to happen before you were picked up and sent off into internment?

Did you lose property in the process, and if so did you get any of it back after you got out of internment? Did that 21,000 payment make up for what you lost?

How angry were you, and how did you get past your anger (assuming you did get past it at some point)?

  1. Are you typing, or are you working with someone who is posting/typing as you speak? If you're typing, what kind of computer or device are you using?
  2. If you don't mind, could you talk a little about how your sex life is/was after the age of 60 or 70? I was always oddly curious about whether older folks have sex, is it as enjoyable in the later years as it is in the younger years?

Thanks for doing an AMA!

Why did you opt for PRK instead of LASIK? Fear of the flap? Disqualified from LASIK for a medical reason?

I had LASIK in the late 90s, no pain and only a little discomfort afterwards, and had 20/20 vision until very recently. I can't wear contact lenses, so have a choice between glasses or PRK. I can't say your experience with PRK pain is making me real excited about that option :P

Funny, I did the opposite. Graduated from Florida Tech with CFII and MEI, instructed for a couple of years, built up ~1700 hours, saw the state of the industry and my chances to 'make it', and moved over into web development for the filthy lucre. If I won the lottery today, I'd actually go back to instructing.

I had an 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was awesome for about 90k miles, except it ate 3 of the 4 power window mechanisms. Replaced 'em. Then the alternator. Replaced it. Then the transmission went out; replaced it (not cheap). Then the water pump and radiator. Replaced em. Then head gasket went at 107k. That was the last straw. It's as though everything crapped out at once! A shame because it was so nice to drive - leather everything, lots of power, every option known to man in 2001 was in that Jeep.
