I think there's hope in Boromir's death. If you consider Boromir as a metaphor for mankind, he fails but does the right thing in the end. That makes me feel hopeful.
I hope we do the right thing in the end.

People have no problem understanding that researchers and lab techs need to be paid; it's the executive and marketing costs that turn people off. Those scientists who develop these meds make less than the execs.
