How long will it be before I can print my own Batmobile with a 3-D printer?

This is one reason I love my credit union--it has an adorable history (from their website):

"Fifteen hourly employees at the Packard Electric Division of General Motors formed Seven Seventeen Credit Union with $75.00 in a cigar box locked in a desk drawer of the IUE Local 717 union hall."

It's just too quaint. A cigar box!

When my brother was 8, he wanted a doll. My dad was not happy about the idea, but he finally caved when my mom bought a My Buddy for the kid. My little brother loved that doll, took it everywhere. My mom always said that playing with that doll would make him an excellent father someday.

Today, my brother is an excellent father and grandfather. He has a "magic touch" with crying babies--put them in his arms, and they just smile and fall asleep. He's not squeamish about dirty diapers or baby spit-up, and he will sing "Wheels on the Bus" until the wheels fall off.

Because of Hasbro's My Buddy doll, I'm convinced a lot of little boys learned how to be good dads, and I think a lot of little boys may grow up to be pastry chefs because they started out on a EZ Bake Oven. Well done.

PS When I asked for one of those things, my mom taught me how to make pineapple upside-down cake in the real oven. I never looked back.

Hi, Padma! I love "Top Chef" in all its many incarnations, I love seeing your beautiful, smiling face in every episode, and best of all, I love watching you enjoy all that great food. Watching you spit it out occasionally is also pretty darn entertaining, no kidding.

I have a number of food allergies/sensitivities, including chocolate, mushrooms, dairy, raw fruit and vegetables (except bananas, go figure), whole grains, tannin (which means no tea, wine or berries), fried foods (especially deep-fried), and coconut.

While my brother and I were watching the Natalie Portman episode, he said to me, "You know what? Cooking for you is like a 'Top Chef' challenge!"

And so, I happily and humbly volunteer my delicate digestive system for a future "Top Chef" episode.

I look forward to watching your new web series. Best of luck to you.
