I can't tell you how many times the tables all ate the breadsticks with the vo*racity of a hungry brown bear only to demand more. Then, when the kitchen refills the breadsticks (finally) all the servers swoop in and grab as many baskets as they can hold to refill all the pissed off tables that don't have breadsticks. The unlucky fool who was taking care of his table during the Great Refilling would be met with the death stare of a thousand suns upon returning, lacking bread, to their pathetic, neglected, breadstickless table.

The worst part was being asked "did you forget breadsticks?" "no, the kitchen is working on more" " I JUST saw that table get new breadsticks."

The shame....
