The only way it's contradictory is if the 2nd Amendment is for unfettered access for all citizens to any firearms. The majority of Americans agree that some degree of regulation is needed.

Comments like yours are examples of the 'boxing' that Walsingham refers to. If she's not fully on-side with the NRA, she's an anti-gun Librul.

Can you envision a way to implement mandatory gun education that doesn't infringe on the right to bear arms?

If so, that might be a good avenue to pursue that both moderate sides of the gun debate could get behind.

If not, then there will never be a satisfactory resolution to this debate. There will always be people who think we need to ensure gun owners have some basic safety education.

I agree that her platform is light on detail here, but why is a requirement for gun safety education anti-gun?
