I'm lucky doctors found my RCC because of a gallbladder scan. I was only stage 1. They've come a long ways with immunotherapy and treatments are getting better every year. Hope you have plenty of time left.

I was older when diagnosed but the two least favorite things I heard was "Any of us could get hit by a bus tomorrow." And "Don't forget to take care of your kids and husband " Constantly being told to stay positive was annoying too.

I will always remember how the person who did my CT treated me. I didn't realize at the time I had cancer but she did. I remember her worrying about my blood sugar level, had to fast for the scan, and making sure I got out to my husband ok and I wasn't going to pass out.

Scanxiety is the worst. 3 year survivor here but I was diagnosed at 39.

I hate being treated like a number when I go for my cancer scans. I know it's another day for medical professionals but my scans twice a year are when I find out if I'm going to leave my children motherless soon.
