Hey Matt. I own a doll from you for over 6 months :) she's great!

I wonder, what sort of R&D goes on at RealDoll? Do you think we'll ever get realistic a.i. robotic humans? Realistic feeling skin and such?

I actually have a few "low hanging fruit" ideas of my own regarding robotics of dolls. I do realize robots are very unrealistic goal, maybe in 50 years we can talk about this being real. But with today's technology some things that should be practical: - animated eyes, like eyes that blink and move. These don't require much intelligence, like computer vision, A.I., just a rudimentary mechanical movement. - chest breathing animation. This will drastically improve the feeling of 'presence' from a doll, meaning it will literally breath life into them. We judge people alive or not whether they breath.
