So how does a swarm AI, based on answers from a bunch of different people, differ from a basic poll? Are the answers weighted somehow?

It kind of is. For most people, going vegan is a major lifestyle change not to be undertaken lightly.

All that classic sci-fi has to be read with some forgiveness because of the era - heinlein in particular had some very iffy views on women - but I thought it was a great book nonetheless.
