I can't help but notice how little this thread discusses environmental factors. It does some, but home life and family life more specifically are rarely mentioned.
My first impression is that this, like a lot of educational theories, is great in perfect world scenarios. But, when you try to put programs like this in place in a realistic class setting it falls apart.
So, I guess my question is how do you think this applies to real class situations, particularly in economically challenged areas? A large percentage of my students have remarkably little support at home so they see no value to working hard or learning. How does your theory address that reality?
We deal with some very intelligent kids who have rough barriers to their educational development. I have a hard time seeing how this would be of any benefit to them, so maybe I'm missing something?

As a high school math teacher I can confirm this. There are a lot of lazy students, and from my experience half of the time they are lazy because they aren't held accountable at home to do their best in school. Not sure how this system is going to address that reality.

Thanks for what you do. It really helped me out when I was getting started, and I've really enjoyed the episodes I've been able to see of your show whether I care to try the food or not. It's always entertaining.
The biggest issue I have when trying to smoke is maintaining an even temperature. Any tips for consistently maintaining a temp?
