I've heard that many people who do this tend view the individual states like different countries by the end of their trip. Any opinions on this statement?

P.S. I'm planning on doing this same thing at some point. I hope to see you on the road.

Honestly, I've never really understood the mental aspect of challenges. Like, I've had some hard shit throughout my life, and since then nothing really seems unreasonably hard. It's like there's this weird disconnect where I recognize that this might be considered hard but it doesn't really matter.
