A great many people hold the view that the death of the peripheral-based music game genre was entirely the fault of Activision: who bled the Guitar Hero series bone dry with, at one point, FIVE GH releases in a single twelve month period.

Do you agree with this opinion? And did you play any of those games? If so, what did you think of them?

As Rock Band Blitz can't currently function without servers, do you know if plans are in place to alter this system so that fans can continue playing it after the servers die?

The loud click-clacky sound that the GH1 and GH2 guitars use to make was frustrating for sure, but those things are still with me today. Those white Guitar Hero 2 guitars especially, despite looking utterly ridiculous, have outlived every other music game peripheral that I've ever owned.

Do you think the softer, quieter RB guitars could ever be that durable?
