No, the only thing you should say is "Lego bricks." That's it. But, since no one is actually going to say that, we shorten it down. Because "Lego bricks" is a countable noun, what a lot of us like to do is take the "s" from "bricks" and add it to "Lego." Other people, like yourself, like to just drop the word "bricks" altogether and refer to the pieces as Lego. It's just as wrong, it's just a personal preference. But guess which group of people is more pretentious and whiney.
