It's pretty clear the guy doesn't know how the industry works, but he knows just enough to make other Redditors sound like he knows what he's talking about. If the guy had one shred of evidence that supported his claims he'd be talking to the New York Times, not Reddit.

I always find it curious that some of the same people who believe Roe v. Wade is etched in stone also believe that the Second Amendment is nebulous, despite being explicitly enumerated in the Bill of Rights.

Seriously, the only people at industry networking events who get drunk enough to reveal anything meaningful are the young employees who don't have anything meaningful to reveal.

People who make a habit of divulging privileged information while under the influence don't have very long careers in any industry.
