It has to be 5K, I've had trucks come in daily with upwards of a thousand PC's brick stacked on skids, not a single one bagged. generally, every package is handled correctly. They're not dropped, tossed, etc.. but sometimes people do it on purpose. We usually fire those people, because they suck and can't do their jobs right. We hate when employees break things, but with a million packages a day it's one of the hardest things to control.

just know that it's ultimately up to the shipper to make sure the package is packaged properly, and insures it if it's high value. if it's packaged properly, it WILL survive the worst employees.

I've actually heard only one story, where the DEA searched a small bale of hay and found some.

We don't look. It's not our job to actively search out problems. However, if we do happen to see it, say if a box breaks open, we are required to report it and get feds involved, etc..

That being said, SHIP YOUR WEED THROUGH USPS FIRST CLASS. They're not legally allowed to open it. WE ARE.

Make sure you call the service center at least two days before delivery, and have a tracking number ready. Otherwise, it will probably already be out for delivery, and you'll have to wait, or risk it being stolen from your front door.

I've probably seen this whole "what REALLY happens" type of post three times this year, and i decided to be more vocal this time. If anything, we have more problems with staffing than every thing else combined, everybody just wants to go home too much to worry about breaking things. It takes longer to go home if there's a lot if damages, so we try to keep them low and get done.

That sounds about right on my end too, I see several jams every day and it's always bad news. I've seen a few rare cases of things being damaged by stupidity, but most if the time it's a box half open that gets caught on something.
