Oh my god thank for that future eclipse maps... i may not be in the path of totality for this eclipse (only getting about 58% obscuration), but i am right in line for the path of totality for the 2024 eclipse... fuck yea!

wh... what? You are advising people to help the kurds by creating (and... what? mailing them?) flying explosive ordnance? why does this seem so out of left field like "how can i, as a non-Kurd, help the Kurds?" - 'lol send tehm flying bombs'

god it feels like the whole world is falling apart, with this conflict between Turkey and the Kurds, with what's happening in Ecuador, the recent events in Venezuela, North/South Korea, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, civil war in Syria, tensions in the South and East China sea, confrontation between the US and Iran, the conflict in Ukraine... like how much more can the world take?

nobody wants to hear they matter less than someone else, and with Native Americans it seems especially egregious to even imply it, but that is absolutely what this is about. The government has and continues to do a lot of things wrong, but in their capacity they have a duty to maximize productivity and minimize damage to environment or people, and in this (one) case it's very clear this is about population.

 

No matter how you slice it, telling one population or the other that they are less important sucks, it sucks hard, but just trying to see it logically, it does make sense to say "If this pipeline has to be built, it makes sense to put this water supply for a population of 8200 at risk, instead of the water supply for this population of 131,000
