I have seen both. I'd guess you move in circles already more open to the idea of BI or welfare in general since they argue about problems with its implementation, not about it being morally wrong to begin with.

I don't fly regularly. Should I expect to find something that one occasion where I do need to fly for once or is this more of a "in the long run" kind of thing?

I know this ama has been closed, but maybe someone of you will see it and answer because this is a question that I have every time something like tpp comes up:

What can I, as a non-US-citizen (nor any of the tpp-countries) do to help prevent this?

One often-cited reason for extensive surveillance is to prevent terrorism, however, when one asks to be shown the results, usually the only answer is that it cannot be disclosed because it would endanger the public. what is so dangerous about the public knowing which terrorist have already been taken down? (I'm not talking about immediate announcements, but maybe cases that lie back a year or longer?)
