TIS-100, SHENZHEN I/O and EXAPUNKS are all quite similar. However, due to different instruction sets, restrictions and production quality they still feel distinctly different. Do you feel like you will keep making games with this programmer premise? Are there still variations you'd like to try? How would you keep future games from feeling the same?

If you've beat all those games, it certainly shows you are interested in IT! If you manage to show that passion in your resume and to potential employrrs, you'll have a great shot in the software business. Depending on your country, there could be a great shortage in developers, and a lot of employers willing to take the risk or provide basic education.

Personally, I love them. It gives me the same kind of goal as achievements did in Infinifactory; gives me a more explicit goal to optimize for, and know when I might have reached the limit.

About the second point, you're totally right in that regard, they are very different games. However, they both have an optimization side-goal that seems to be enjoyable for a lot of people. I believe there might be design space for a kind of crossover between the two games, but I have no idea how that should work.

How did working remotely affect the development of Last Call BBS? Did different team members take charge of different subgames, or did everyone still contribute to every subgame?
