I'm in the suburbs of nyc which may explain it.

I wasn't working at the time, collecting unemployment. (One of the reasons I was so miserable) They offered to knock $50 still unaffordable.

The mental health system needs to revamped.

I was in the same boat - it was much much higher than this....

$350-400 for the initial appt. $275 for those after. Or a 3 month wait for an appt at a clinic.
