So uh, my girlfriends dad died recently. He had a heart attack in the morning, fell and hit his head, died almost instantly. They called in EMT and for about 40 minutes EMT tried to resuscitate him. Afterwards, they packed up and left, saying the Medical Examiner would be by to examine the body and might take it. We waited around 30 minutes for the ME, outside my girlfriends family’s apartment, cause she couldn’t stand to go in and see him laying on the floor like that. The ME took the body, but throughout all of this, nobody cleaned up his blood from all over the floor. I had to do that myself, cause my girlfriend and her mom were in absolutely no state to do it. It’s a terrible thing, but it had to be done.

Why don’t you work in the haunt industry? As a haunter, I would love to wear one of those masks. They look great, as well as pretty easy to put on, comparative to the one I wear normally.

What’s been your favorite haunted house so far?

Depending on how the actor handles the mask, absolutely. We have masks from a couple years ago that still look brand new. On the other side of that, the most recent mask we bought is probably more damaged than the old ones because of the way it’s used in scene.

I’m talking haunted houses. I’m not the person in charge of where I act, or what character I play. Just going out and buying a mask would be useless for me. Talking to my directors about buying a mask, might work, but they have to figure out how to fit it into a scene, and that generally requires us to change the scene in some way.
