I met Tommy and Greg at a screening a few years ago. I was struck by how personable and happy Tommy was. Does he understand the film is being mocked at screenings?

Absolutely. Philip is pretty active on facebook and talks about the film from time to time. He's also released the first issue of a comic book about his experience. He knew how weird the character would come across but that was all at Tommy's direction.
