Yes, it's a p2p network, so taking down the content requires seizing the offending computer. You can't 'take down content' on a torrent either.

Why are people setting tires on fire? Even when there aren't police/troops around, people are always setting tires on fire. Is it just their primary burning-barricade material of choice?

If you listen to a lot of podcasts by comedians, you'll eventually notice a recurring theme of it taking about a decade (or two) for a comedy career to really get off the ground. You can work before then, but it won't be exactly lucrative, usually.

The two biggest differences, in my opinion are that dogecoin has random payouts per block, and that blocks are much easier to mine (which helps offset the luck factor in randomized payouts by a lot).
